Stanford Men's Gymnastics High Performance Camps

 

June 25 - June 29, 2019 - Resident (lodging provided) and Day Campers

 

Capacity: 100 athletes

Ages 7 - 18

Gender: Male Only

 

 

Description-

Open to any and all entrants, this camp is designed primarily for competitive gymnasts, levels 6 through 10.  Gymnasts will be grouped by age and competitive experience. This is a unique camp, as it is intended for highly motivated and college bound gymnasts.  The High Performance Camp is gymnastics focused with 6-7 hours of training per day.  Coached by members of the Stanford Men's Gymnastics Team as well as the Stanford Coaching staff, this camp offers gymnasts the opportunity to raise their skills to the next level. 

 

During this camp, the gymnasts will be coached and taught each aspect of training at the highest level. This includes technical coaching on all events, air-sense, execution/presentation, strength and flexibility. Additionally they will be provided insight on the cycling process (assuring peak performance at a specific time), the NCAA Men’s Gymnastics program and being eligible for a collegiate program. The Ford Center Gymnastics Training Facility offers at least two of every apparatus, both over competition landing surfaces and loose foam pits, as well as trampoline, tumble track and spotting belts.

 

Stanford Head Coach, Thomas Glielmi, will offer a parent lecture titled "The Path to Collegiate Gymnastics" on Tuesday and Saturday at the start of the practice period. All parents are welcome to attend. Athletes will also spend a rotation with Coach Glielmi to discuss this topic and ask questions.

 



 

Day Camper (No Lodging Provided)

June 25-29 - Tuesday 2pm - Saturday 12pm

$715

 

Available in both camps. Includes t-shirt, all training sessions and swimming each day. Lunch will be provided. During the High Performance Camp Day Campers are welcome to participate in evening activities with resident campers after dinner. Activities schedule will be available shortly before camp. T-Shirt included. 

 

Resident Camper (Dormitory Lodging Provided Tuesday - Friday nights)

June 25-29 - Tuesday 2pm - Saturday 12pm

$1205

 

Athletes aged 9+ only. Tuesday - Saturday room and board provides campers the opportunity to stay on the University campus for the full Stanford experience. Housing is provided in the campus dormitories with counselor supervision. 3 meals per day will be provided, beginning with dinner on Tuesday after the first practice. Campers will be treated to post training activities and have the opportunity to spend time with current student athletes, explore campus and visit the sites. T-Shirt included.

 


 

Resident Camper Airport Transportation Option -

$50 (available for resident campers only)
Airport transportation can be accommodated for Resident Campers Only. Transportation will be arranged from/to San Francisco International Airport. Upon arrival athletes will be met at baggage claim and transported via shuttle to Stanford. Lunch before the first practice on Tuesday may be purchased upon arrival on campus. During departure athletes will be shuttled to SFO, helped with ticketing and dropped off at the security line.

 

We WILL NOT be able to accommodate athletes that must utilize the Unattended Minor Service (UMS) due to age. Airlines require UMS for children aged 7-14 years old (Southwest only requires up to age 11). Please check with airlines about UMS policy before purchasing tickets.

 

Only athletes arriving between 10am - 12:30pm on Tuesday 6/25/19 can be accommodated. Return flights should be scheduled for Saturday 6/29/19 after 3pm.

Competitive Gymnastics BootCamp

Description-

 

The Competitive BootCamp is a condensed version of the High Performance Camp, designed for gymnasts who want to get serious about their training and make a push towards the next level. This camp is open to any and all entrants ages 6-18 years old but is intended for athletes who are already at a pre-team or competitive level. Training will be intense and skill focused.

Perfect for competitive athletes who would like to supplement their summer training schedule with an intensive weekend at Stanford University. Much of the same staff that coaches the High Performance Camp will be at the Competitive BootCamp.

Open to any and all entrants, this camp is designed for anyone wanting to experience a week of Warrior Ninja Acrobatics Training!  Each day will feature a different theme, teaching aspects of Parkour, Ninja Warrior training, Circus, Acrobatics, Trampoline and Boys Gymnastics (everyone will gain exposure to boys apparatus, girls events are not covered).  This fun filled half day camp is perfect for adventurous kids who love to run, jump, flip, climb and fly! Previous gymnastics experience is not required.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds will be processed directly back to the credit card used. All refunds will be minus a 4% Active.com processing fee. Up to 30 days prior to the start of a camp all refund requests will be honored. Only medical refunds that are accompanied by a doctors note will be honored from 11-30 days from the start of a camp.  No refunds will be made within 10 days of the start of a camp.
